Portion Distortion

Tying in with yesterday’s article, this is a fun exercise in understanding Portion Control.  It’s on the Quaker Oats website.

It helps bring a sense of realism to portion control – comparing cubes of cheese to dice, and chicken serving to a deck of cards…. Actually SEEING it helps you be able to visualize it while you prepare your meals.

As an added FYI, I purchased a scale.  (it’s a postal scale, so I get two uses out of it – I can weigh my packages to print my own postage, and I use parchment paper to weigh my foods before I put it on my plate)
