It’s been a while since I updated you on one of our bodybugg clients…
So thought I’d update you on someone that’s been on it for about 2.5 weeks now. The day we dropped the Armband in to the mail to her she began tracking her food on her webpage. It always takes a few days to get into the habit, then a few extra days to work out the kinks of how the system works… So by the time she was able to put on the Armband, she was already in the habit of checking labels and counting the incoming calories. The first week of wearing the Armband she lost 2 pounds. Her goal is to only lose a pound a week – sometimes the first week brings on a little extra weight loss because you find yourself drinking more water for the first time (the more water you drink, the less your body holds on to – so quite often we find that much of the weight loss the first week is in water weight). To quote her, “seeing the numbers seems to make ALL of the difference”. She’s excited about the next few weeks, she’s got a company picnic so is ready to ‘bank’ her calorie allowance.
She’s got it right on. There’s no denying the numbers. You SEE how many calories you’ve burned today, then you input your food intake for the day and you’ll know if you can cheat a little and have a brownie after dinner tonight. Speaking of which, I’m having a little bowl of ice cream with a brownie at the bottom tonight! (we eat Edy’s Slow Churned ice cream… still get to eat a full cup of ice cream because they fluff it up by churning it a little extra).
