personal update

Good morning!

I stepped on the scale this morning, my weigh-in isn’t until tomorrow morning but the scale was there and I just happened to step on it this morning.  I’m at 143.  Not trying to lose weight, but I was trying to make sure that my days end in some sort of a deficit (meaning that I burn more calories then I eat).  If even only a 100 calorie difference, I just wanted to make sure that I burn a little more then I eat last week.  I knew I’d be drinking a little beer last night, so didn’t want that to have a negative impact on my weekly total.

We were in the Fantasy Fest parade last night here in Key West, and we had a keg on the float.  It’s hard to keep track of how much beer you drink like that, generally I prefer to drink bottled beer so I can put the caps in to my pocket to keep track of my beer.  Nonetheless, I think I did okay for the week.

I think that I’d like to get down to 140 to see how I look and feel.  I’m not in any hurry to do this, so think that I’ll keep myself on a slow-loss plan.  A 250 calorie deficit is a ½ a week loss, which is more then fine.  Just like I did this week, I’m just going to shoot for a tiny deficit each and every day…. Now that I’m working five days a week, it’s a little easier to do because I’m not at home and tempted to eat.  I have my lunch packed and my incoming calories controlled at lunch each day.
