We moved to the AZ Valley in October last year. Rented a house in a fabulous quaint neighborhood for the first seven months. We decided that this was probably 'it' for us, so started house hunting.
Found the PERFECT house to grow old together it. It suits our tastes and personalities, as it's very modern, and meets those "must haves" that were on our list:
view from living room and 2 bedrooms
2 car garage
one floor ('cuz sometimes those knees can be a little bothersome!)
Downside? Well, now we find ourselves living in a VERY hilly area. After about 6 years of all flat area, this has come as a shock to my hamstrings as I'm climbing the hills on my walk.
What gets me through? There's a downslope that gets me into my driveway, no matter whether I head right or left out of my driveway it's a downhill walk to get back to my house! (yay!)
While 'downhill both ways' wasn't on the "must have list" while we were house shopping, it sure is sweet!
Here's a photo of our living room view. *sigh*

shame on me for being so far behind on posts
Ugh. I cannot believe how negligent I've been on my blogging.... Part of the problem is that the owners of the BodyBugg shut down all of the sales people that weren't associated with their clubs. So we lost the ability to sell them, and I guess I lost my desire to post.
It dawned on me this morning, as I'm doing my 2nd walk in my new neighborhood that I'd neglected the Blog. I was thinking that I needed a little motivation to get through my last hill and remembered that I had used this blog before to help with that problem. And then my wheels started chruning...
Being Fit for Life is more than just your body, it includes your mental health - which includes your work life, too. The hubs and I moved to the Arizona Valley about 7 months ago, so in addition to trying to get back into the habit of getting some cardio and a little workout time I'm also struggling with growing my Scentsy business here in my new area.
AND we've got a little switch in the direction my blog has been headed.... So welcome to me trying to balance my work and physical fitness, along with the last few items that have still not been assigned to a 'spot' in the new house (mostly photos and closet stuff at this point)!!

Health Tip: Seniors, Boost Your Balance
A routine that includes a variety of exercises is
important to help seniors stay strong. But balance exercises can help reduce
the risk of falling and dangerous fractures.
The US Centers for Disease Control and Preventative lists
these exercises that can improve balance in seniors.
~Practice Tai Chi, a Chinese martial art
~Walk backward, stepping to the side of walking heel to
toe
~Practice standing on one foot and holding the position
~Take group exercise classes that focus on balance
