Greetings from the Keys!
It’s another beautiful day in Paradise and I’m getting ready to head out to the gym. My motivation for my first Keys gym visit? I did a mid-week weigh-in (which I don’t generally suggest that you do). Why did I do it? Well, honestly I’ve not measured my ice cream this week – just kind of did it by eyeing it – so I wanted to make sure that I was on track.
And I am – I am down to 150 (I report my weight earlier this week as 151, but it was really 150.75). So I’m on track and doing well.
That, in itself, is motivation enough to go out to the base and try to find the gym. There’s nothing better then a long walk on the treadmill reading an enjoyable book… of course, I do hate the first-time visit to the gym and trying to figure ‘things’ out. Do they have towels? Do they sell water? Where ARE the treadmills anyway?
Besides, I need to start banking calorie burn. I’ve been invited to a Cinco de Mayo party next Saturday, I plan on drinking loads of beer and partaking in some of the fabulous food they’re having flown in as well….SO, I need to be prepared for that this week.
And, with my bodybugg I will be.
