So you have food weakness...

Okay, so you have food weaknesses.  It’s okay.  Everyone does.  Me, I love pretty much anything with sugar – mostly chocolate.  Don’t deprive yourself, though, because you’ll find yourself overdoing it the second chance you get, if not the first.  Everything in moderation… that’s why I love the bodybugg!  It allows me to eat the foods I love without fear of guilt afterwards….

The bodybugg – It’s your life, ONLY BETTER!

Go GREEN with weight loss!

All right, there is one obvious way you can go green with weight loss . . . add some more fruits and veggies to your diet!

One other way you can go green with your weight loss is recycle – I have two of the older version of the bodybugg available.  They are used, one of them for only three months and the other for a longer term (I believe one full year).  Both people just wanted to upgrade to the new sleek black model (which still isn’t pictured on our website, yet, because I’m waiting for Scott to upload the picture).  We will be happy to sell them to you, including 6 months worth of the web service, for $89 – and that includes our coaching sessions via phone.

You will LOVE this product.  It’s great to help you organize your food life, it helps you become accountable for what you eat and what you do and helps you learn a little bit about you individually and how your body responds to activities that you do.  It’s thrilling to see how many calories you burn during your favorite activity.

My new job as a bank teller burns me a lot of calories, on a busy Friday I can burn as many calories as my husband (who has a seated job, but still it’s a thrill to finally burn an many calories as he does).

Lose Weight without giving up your favorite foods

Okay, so you’ve tried all of the fad diets and jumped through all of the hoops and you’ve had no luck at losing the weight you wanted to lose.  OR maybe you lost the weight once and find yourself needing to lose it again.

That’s where I come in – Scott and I have worn and represented THE single best invention for weight loss.. The bodybugg™.  This little gadget is worn on your upper left arm, it’s uploaded to your webpage and then you’ll know how many calories you burned today, on a per minute basis.  Not only is this great information to have on a daily basis as you plan your food, but you can also learn what activities ‘earn’ you the most calorie burn so that if you’ve had a big day of eating you can go do whatever earns you the most calorie burn (riding your bike, going for a run, etc).  If you know you have a big eating day at the end of the week, you can spend your week ‘banking’ calorie burn!!

Learn more at www.MoveMoreEatLess.org … sure there are other places you can buy them from.  But you won’t get better customer service then with Scott and I.

We’ve worn it ourselves for over 3 years now.  No one knows the product better then we do!

personal update

Happy mid-April!  It seems that most of the country is finally getting their change in weather.  Hopefully the last cold spell has left everyone and you’re all ready for the warm months of summer.  Life in the Keys is still a joy to us.  I love the beautiful colors in the water that I see on my drive to/from work, and I’ve noticed a change in the colors with each season.  We’re finally settled into our home… our own little piece of paradise.  As I was watering on banana and avocado tree this morning it dawned on me that we don’t have any flowering plants (we did plant something in huge planters out front, but they were free and seem to be struggling so who knows when/if they will ever bloom).

I laid out in the sun this afternoon for the first time since surgery, I was very cautious of the scar to make sure that it got very little sun.  I still have that little raised area near my belly button and hoping like hell that the sense of numbness that it gives me when I touch it means that it will eventually level itself out with the rest of my tummy…. I was totally prepared to wear the scar as a badge-of-honor but wasn’t prepared for the tummy bump.

Still encouraging women to make sure and not postpone their annual Gyn appointments…. When was YOUR last appointment (or your wife’s/girlfriends)?

Still managing to hold my weight where it is thanks to the bodybugg.  And thanks to the bodybugg, I know that I’m burning oodles of calories at my job, so I eat a 500 calorie lunch or so and then can splurge my calories at dinner with eating out or eating in and eating cookies or ice cream.

Have a great spring….

Still struggling with weight loss

Still struggling with weight loss?  Maybe you need some accountability – different things work for different people, but I’ve found that accountability works for everyone.

With our bodybugg program, you’ll be able to know exactly how many calories you’re burning.  Knowing how many calories you’re burning allows you to know exactly what to eat.  If you want to lose weight, you eat less calories and if you want to maintain your weight you eat the same number of calories.

Yes, it is JUST that simple.  It’s not our fault that we’re overweight… restaurants do everything they can to serve you bigger portions and the chefs are taught to add sugar and butter/lard to their dishes  (that’s what makes them so tasty and makes us addicted to the restaurants that we love).  It is OKAY to eat these things, just in moderation.  Let our bodybugg program show you how to do that.

Check out our video online – www.MoveMoreEatLess.org – with your purchase from us you get much more then the bodybugg program.  We help hold your hand through the process, we are available to help you install the program and the first couple of weeks of learning the program.  We help you change your life.

On the bodybugg program, it’s your life.  Only better.

Herbal Supplements - What you should know before ou buy

A shout out to my friends at the MayoClinic.com newsletter.  Since supplements are not currently regulated, purchasing them can be a little confusing.  Here’s a great article to help you through:

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/herbal-supplements/SA00044

Still confused?  You can order supplements made by a pharmaceutical company – You can sign up to receive vitamins and supplements shipped directly to your home or office at no charge.  Scott and I used to sell these at our gym and we still support the product, and would appreciate your business by ordering.  By signing up under our business, you’ll receive 20% off of their already low prices AND the same free shipping.  All you have to do is create an ID and sign up for a monthly order (every month you’ll have about 10 days to change or cancel the order, you’ll get an Email about 10 days before the shipping date).

How do you sign up?  Go to:
www.myapex.com

Look on the right side of the grey bar near the top, on the far right:

choose the ‘myapex account’ drop down menu

‘Sign Up Now!’

Just like any other website, you’ll create your own ID and password and input your address (needed for shipping your vitamins) and it asks for your Home Gym – be sure to list your home state as FLORIDA (it doesn’t matter where you live) and your facility name is ‘Stop the Obesity Pandemic’.

By choosing our gym the products still come from Apex and they’re still the same quality product, it’s just that you’ll receive 20% off of their regular prices.

Thank you for considering it.

Thank you for your time.

6 Tips to help make wise meal choices when going to a fast-food restaurant

A great article from my MayoClinic.com newsletter – You may not think that you can eat at a fast-food restaurant while watching your calorie intake.  Here are some great tips to help you eat at a fast-food place.  Let’s admit it, every so often it’s the only choice available…. These are some great tips.

I just realized it's been a while since I've done a personal update - it's too late in the day for me to weigh-in today but my last weigh-in was 137.
I'm back to work Full Time now (started back mid January).  I've still got quite a scar, but I'm considering it a battle wound and am proud of it.  I see the radiologist at the bank fairly regularly and he always makes me smile, because I feel like we share a secret.  Pretty much he, my OBGyn, and my doctor are the only locals that really know how serious the whole surgery was (well, my husband, of course).
Still loving life in Key West.  We bought a house and started moving in about a month ago, last weekend we were officially out of the rental house.  It's nice to live in a house that we own again.  Being able to have walls that aren't white or off-white is wonderful!!  (of course, only three rooms are painted right now - baby steps, after all I just had major surgery).
The bodybugg is helping me keep the weight that I lost from the surgery off, and being Full Time at the bank is totally helping me burn those calories.  I need to get back into the swing of ab and weight-bearing exercises again... I'll be the first to admit that I've found ample excuses between my Full Time job and moving/organizing the new house.
Hope all is well with all of you.  Will try to get some more great reading material out a little more often, as well as getting my personal updates out, too!
