Weight Loss during the holidays?
Yes it can be done….
It isn’t about the quantity of food that you crave, but the QUALITY. Yes, this is the time of year that is about food and hanging out with family and friends and having a good time. No, we don’t expect you to sit out of those things. Help yourself to a little bit of everything, but just a little bit. Better yet, put 2 or 3 of your favorite items on your plate. Pause a moment, then go back for a couple more items. Don’t leave out the pause, that will give your stomach time to send the ‘I’m full’ message to your brain.
Most of my clients have shown weight loss since Thanksgiving, if even only a pound a week. I have one client that has maintained his weight each week since Thanksgiving, which has him thrilled (because HE is in control of that number). After the New Year’s over, we’ll get him back on his downward spiral!
Remember, it’s all about calories coming in and calories going out (your burn vs. consumption).
